LONG BIO:

In addition to writing, Kathryn can also be found traveling around the world, working in the theatre, and indulging her love of martial arts and stage combat. Kathryn finds that training in historical fencing as well as stage combat improves her ability to describe fights in her books, and clears her mind. She has trained with professionals from Los Angeles to New York, and even as far away as London, and Moscow.

She has also hiked through the rainforest of Costa Rica, climbed the Alps in Italy, seen the oldest standing man-made structure in the world, and explored long-silent battlefields in Scotland. While she has spent much of the last few years traveling and writing, she is always looking forward to her next adventure.

When she finally returns home to California, Kathryn often spends her time with family and friends, catches up on the latest Scifi and Fantasy films, and supports local theaters. She owes her love of reading to her father, who introduced her to the fantasy genre when she was six years old and has constantly had her nose stuck in a book ever since.

Kathryn Blanche writes novels in her favorite local cafes when not indulging her love for travel. Aside from exploring the world, this California native may be found designing for the theatre, reading, fencing, or teaching.  Caught by Demons is the first novel in her Laila of Midgard Series.
